Media Enquiries and Publicity Protocols

All media enquiries must be channelled through the Corporate Communications office who will direct your enquiry through to the relevant department and co-ordinate the process, returning responses to you, usually by email.

If you would like to make a media enquiry, please email corporate.communications@merthyr.gov.uk detailing the nature of the enquiry, along with deadline information.

Emailing through your enquiry will enable the team to co-ordinate the response in a shorter timescale, as it will reduce processing time. However, if you wish to speak to a member of the team directly, please telephone: 01685 725166 or 725052.

Please note that individual officers should not be approached directly by the media.
Local Government communications is regulated by the Code of Recommended Practice on Local Authority Publicity.
