Motorcycling

There are a number of different motorbike courses that suit riders of all skills and ages. It's useful to join a course to improve the standards of motorcycle riding for yourself.

BikeSafe is a police led motorbike project that is run by most police forces throughout the UK. The main aim of the course is to reduce the number of bikers being hurt on the roads.

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council subsidise a number of places on BikeSafe workshops.

Biker Down is a course run by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

This is a 3 hour course involving:

• Accident scene management
• First Aid for motorcyclists
• Science of being seen
